Lighter Upper
Engineered mesh helps reduce the weight of the shoe while providing a more consistent fit. And we saved more weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue.
Lighter Foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy feel.
Lighter Outsole
We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3.
Full Speed
The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and combines with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a stable and propulsive feel on race day.

Love the shoe, hate that adhesive

I love these shoes so much, and I hate the fact that they start falling apart after about a week of running. The bottom soul starts to unglue. I’ve started realizing that Nike has had a problem with their soul and cushioning starting to squeak or unglue from the shoe and I wish they went back to their other adhesive
