The Vaporfly 4 "Eliud Kipchoge" is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.
Behind the Design
Eliud Kipchoge says achieving your dream isn't a solo endeavor, so we utilized his community in designing this shoe. His family influenced the color selection and the multi-style Swoosh logo, which represents the strength behind a team. "No human is limited" nods to the endless possibilities you have with a support system.
Lighter Upper
Engineered mesh helps reduce the weight of the shoe while providing a more consistent fit. And we saved more weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue.
Lighter Foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy feel.
Lighter Outsole
We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3.
Full Speed
The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and combines with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.

Always wanted a pair but could never justify the cost as only an occasional runner. But took the plunge. As soon as I put them on like nothing I’ve ever worn, and the first two runs have been incredible, both in terms of pace but also as a 50yo less stress on body. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
