The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.

Always wanted a pair but could never justify the cost as only an occasional runner. But took the plunge. As soon as I put them on like nothing I’ve ever worn, and the first two runs have been incredible, both in terms of pace but also as a 50yo less stress on body. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

The lab tested and runner validated curved full-length carbon fiber FlyPlate delivers a propulsive feel and unlocks more leverage from the foot and ankle.
The blown rubber outsole delivers a dynamic combination of traction, durability and cushion. The softer material compresses to conform to the road for elevated traction and smooth transition.
Engineered mesh upper increases comfort and fit consistency while contributing to the overall weight savings of the shoe.

We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3.
