There is a lot to like about these shorts, but they do have some fit quirks. On the plus side, the material is really nice and drapes beautifully. The drawstrings are well made (dont look like they’ll fray) and the built in spandex liner is tight but comfortable, staying perfectly in place without riding up. They are definitely on the shorter side, which is great if you are looking to get a tan. However, the fit is quite tight through the inseam, and the shorts pull from the back. If you prefer a looser/more relaxed fit, I’d highly recommend sizing up. I will say i wish the pockets were designed a bit differently as they feel a bit misaligned and don't offer a natural guide for your hands. I'd be worried about things falling out of them but perhaps sizing up should address that.

They’re really comfy. The material is soft and the length is great for running around on the beach. The pockets are bigger than I thought they’d be.

The built-in brief liner wasn't as comfortable as I expected and felt a little noticeable during longer periods of wear. The fit was also somewhat inconsistent, with some areas feeling better than others. I also think the pockets could be more functional for holding small items securely. Overall, these shorts are a decent option that perform well for basic swimming and everyday summer activities. While they have some comfortable and practical features, a few fit and comfort issues keep them from being a standout choice. Because of that, I'd give them 3 out of 5 stars.
