The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.
Lighter Upper
Engineered mesh up top helps reduce the weight of the shoe while providing a more consistent fit. We also saved weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue.
Lighter Foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy feel.
Lighter Outsole
We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3.
Full Speed
The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate sits at a higher angle compared to the plate in the Vaporfly 3. It combines with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.
