The yoga mat is beautiful, and I loved it the moment I received it. However, it does not come with a yoga strap or tie, so those need to be purchased separately.
The mat is quite heavy and on the thinner side, with minimal cushioning. If you have sensitive knees, this may be uncomfortable during practice.
After a little over a month of use, approximately three times per week, I began noticing issues. The mat takes a very long time to dry after cleaning and must be left fully extended to dry completely. Recently, I noticed three dark, roundish marks on the mat. At first, I thought they might be mold due to how slowly the mat dries. When I cleaned and touched the area, it felt uneven, almost as if the top layer had peeled away, exposing a second layer underneath.
This was very disappointing, especially considering the price point. For a mat in this price range, I would expect significantly better quality and durability. I previously owned a much cheaper mat and never experienced any issues. I purchased this one specifically because I was looking for a more stable mat rather than a soft, flimsy one, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations.
I would not purchase a Skims yoga mat again. :-(
