The gusset stitching (where the tongue meets the side of the shoe) created a big enough bump where it constantly jabs the top side of my foot. This is also the same when I sized half inch up and with the pegasus trail 5 GTX.

I’ve been running for decades and I can say that this is an outstanding shoe, The cushioning and rebound make these a pleasure to run in, every time. Also, they did not stiffen during my run in bitter cold (0 degree wind chill), a bonus. I am normally a 12E. My Gore-Tex version is not available in wide so I moved up to a 12.5 and it fits well.
