I just bought these and am a former college level player and still play competitively. I have regularly worn adidas turf copas, or puma king cleats, and my adidas turfs have felt very clunky and I have always preferred cleats over turfs for shooting and feel. I just tried the Nike Zoom Mercurial Vapor 16 Pro (black and blue ice) and I love it. It is much lighter than I expected. It feels like a cleat in terms of size, agility, and touch, and the way it wraps my foot. As a turf it of course feels better and more supportive on hard turf surfaces and I wore it on grass and it still worked great. The design is cool without being obnoxious. It’s my first time wearing synthetic material instead of leather and I am surprised how light it is. The touch is still good. I’m sure it will take a little adjustment as the ball stuck to my shoe a little more but that can be a good thing once controlled. It is true to size and I’m a 9.5 and a 9.5 fits perfectly. I love that it has little air or foam support around your heel which feels great and that it has the zoom technology which supposedly provided a little extra support and bounce when running. It fits like a sock which is great. Awesome shoe, wish I switched to Nike earlier!
