Clay Ready
Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less buildup on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. We used traction maps, pressure maps and analyzed clay buildup areas for the design. Then we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).
Cut Quickly
A strong plastic midfoot plate combines with a wide base to offer stability for quick cuts and sudden changes in direction.
Move Freely
Extra rubber in the toe area, specifically the big-toe side, adds durability where it's needed. High-abrasion rubber along the outsole offers durability and traction.

A heel Air Zoom unit provides support.
Stay Steady
Synthetic leather around the lateral side helps keep your foot contained when moving side to side.
