Nike Swoosh 1 Essential

I was so excited to find a “barefoot” style Nike shoe! We love the style of Nike but do prefer a wider, barefoot style shoe for our kids. The width is great and the flexibility of the sole is pretty good. The only concern I have is with the Velcro. Maybe in a future version of this shoe the shoe could have a longer strap for over the top of the foot, because it seems like strap is barely reaching the Velcro, and the Velcro barely sticks. They are working great for now but I feel like after a bit the Velcro will stop sticking. To be determined! Still thrilled by a step in the barefoot direction by Nike.

I didn’t care for the style of these shoes much. They remind me of ballet shoes that sit very close to the ground. I like having a bigger sole on my tennis and workout shoes.

These kicks are undeniably great for a toddler that is extremely active!! The strap around the ankle allows total control when it come to those aggressive runs around the playground.
