Classic Nike style but smaller

Depending on brands, I’m either small or medium. In Nike tanks, I ALWAYS wear a medium… until this style. I tried a medium and it was a bit too small in the middle. The reviews on Nike discuss the weird sizing too. Ordered a large.. better overall fit but may do the underarm gap for some.
