  • Shox Nostalgia

    AAGOLF - Oct 09, 2025

Overall - A throwback to shox lovers. A little narrow and a rigid for my liking. Especially when you compare to newer offerings with flyknit uppers and other flexible options. Look - Love the shox making a comeback. Had a pair when they first came out hoping to pic up a few more inches in my vertical jump. The shoe is very sleek looking and stylist for the gym or all day wear. Comfort - A bit mixed. The shoe is narrow which makes it feel tight. However the midsole is comfortable and my feet felt fine after a few hours of wear. Durability - Tough to say with only two weeks of wear. But it appears very durable and they shoes still look brand new.

  • Too Narrow

    Starla - Oct 03, 2025

Got these Shox in black with the holographic check and I loved the design and detail. I grew up with Shox and they were my dad’s favorite shoe. I thought this would be a nice casual show to wear but as soon as I put it on I could tell they wouldn’t work for me. They definitely required some breaking in to get used to. At first , they made my feet feel like they were going in opposite directions. I realized the issue lies with the super narrow insole. It’s definitely way too narrow and cuts across the top of my foot. I’ve never had a show to hurt my foot while sitting down and not even walking. I almost walked barefoot to my car at one point. The heel of the shoe is nice and sturdy. I recall Shox having a little give to them in my childhood. These were solid like a brick on my heel. They are a really cool shoe but definitely only meant to style and profile. I didn’t get that far due to the pain across the top of my foot and on my pinky toe while just trying them out at work. I work them for at minimum 8 hours at work honestly they still look never worn. The fabric and material is very durable and and sturdy. I’m not a fan of lines going horizontal on a shoe because it makes your foot look longer. These remind me of bowling shoes. Unfortunately I do wear a half size so it was a little too big and I felt it sliding on the back of my heel. The size discrepancy is too small to go down though. Would get better with a thicker sock.

  • sleek and very cool sneakers, just a little stiff

    adrienne - Oct 02, 2025

These shoes are very cool. Design-wise, I'm loving the iridescent rainbow finishes (swoosh and bottom heel part) against the all black fabric of the shoe. I feel super stylish when I wear them. I ordered my usual size (6.5) and they fit -- however, these shoes are a lot stiffer and more narrow than Air Force 1s or Air Maxes. There doesn't seem to be much cushion support so I haven't attempted to wear them out for a full day of walking in the city. (And because I am short, I tend to like shoes with a larger platform / cushion so maybe one day Nike can make these with a cushiony platform :) ) Besides the stiffness, these shoes are definitely well made and sturdy. The fabric has a nice design to the stitching to makes them feel like they could handle a lot of wear.
