Nike Shox Ride 2

As a somewhat active 35-year-old guy whose day involves everything from sitting in the office for a couple of hours to running around doing estimates and chasing kids the rest of the day, I need a shoe that can keep up, and the Nike Shox Ride 2 does that. I’ve worn plenty of heavily cushioned running shoes that are popular these days, but these strike a better balance between comfort and stability without feeling overly soft or like I’m walking on pillows. My feet are on the wider side, so I went up half a size, which worked out well with no tightness, pinching, or discomfort throughout the day. Overall, these are a great everyday shoe that delivers just the right amount of cushioning and support, whether I’m at my desk, on my feet for work, or keeping up with the kids.

A very cool looking shoe that provides good support. It’s a little stiff but I anticipate that after a few more wears they’ll soften up a bit. I love the details of the different textures on the all black colorway. Overall it’s nice comfortable shoe.

I genuinely wanted to like these, and I do...to an extent. I had shox WAY back when they first came out and loved them. And it may just be me, but I have to admit that whilst the pad and heel of my foot are supported, I feel like my arch has zero support in these. I wore them out for a few hours and by the time I got home my foot was sore. That being said, they are fine for wearing to a post-yoga coffee and a quick jaunt to walk the pups, they are great. I love the solid sole, I like the aesthetics, and I even like the extra boost of height it gives me for reaching the top shelf at the grocery store, so I will definitely continue to wear them. However, for me, it doesn't bring enough arch support for me to last a cardio workout, rowing session, or tennis in these.
