Run big - Disappointed

I'm a UK 9.5 in Vans - my usual shoe of choice. Started to branch out into other brands due to having the feet of a 47 year old, and needing more squish. Have bought UK 9.5 in Nike before with no regrets, but with this shoe it was a mistake. Definitely half a size too big to even wear i think. The outer shoe is a good inch longer than my usual Vans - they don't hold onto my heals at all. Have tried insoles, but they're quite stiff shoes and it still doesn't deal with the heal issue. Haven't had blisters from new shoes in decades! Don't mind the look - i saw someone else wearing them and thought "ooh, gotta try those". They don't have much spring to them btw. Thicker sole than the regular waffle Vans, but no more give to them. Made the mistake of not wearing them around the house for longer before wearing them outside. Should have returned and tried at least a half size smaller. Maybe i'll try wearing them again - or give them to someone with bigger feet....

Shoes are even uglier on feet. I wish Nike would quit putting out ugly shoes and get back to making shoes that looked good and skated good. Shoes like the zoom fp were light, had style and skated good. These are just an embarrassment.
