I broke every ankle bone and suffered severe dislocation in my right foot, May 2023. They inserted a 12 inch nail from the bottom of my heel to the top of my tibia. I had severe pain with the nail, so they removed it 2 days before Thanksgiving, 2024. I just healed from the incisions and bruising a couple of months ago. I live on a fixed income, so I couldn’t buy shoes until my birthday in May. I had one pair of shoes, in which I only used the left shoe with a walking boot. I bought a pair of Women’s Nike Motiva. I normally wear an 8.5. The website suggested a half size larger, since Nike runs small. I chose a 9.5, since my toes need more room and I need to account for a larger right foot with the bone calcification. I put them on and stood up to take my first step in shoes, in over two years. I don’t have a right calf muscle, due to muscle atrophy, so I have to walk carefully. I could not believe it. I was walking on a CUSHION in shoes for the first time since my ankle break. I don’t have a limp, weird gait or pain. I have more range of motion in these shoes. I look and feel like a normal person. I was in tears… I did not think I could ever take a step without pain, much less without a limp or a gait that was pronounced. I can push the accelerator on the car with my shoes on. I wasn’t able to do that before. The deep cushion on the bottom of the shoes alleviates pain and pressure when I need more range of motion. I asked God for healing and He gave me a pair of shoes, Nike Motiva.
