Midfoot Support
The upper seems to float above the tooling and is held together by the midfoot strap to create a sort of hovering icon. The strap provides midfoot support and locks your foot in with minimum weight added to the shoe.

Price comfort these have it all. Nike made Jordan's but the true Nike fit is in these.

This is a very narrow basketball shoe. Not made for everyone to wear. I'm sure basketball players feet aren't this narrow.
