What’s wrong with the Velcro strap???

My son wore these for a year with no issues. I went to buy the next size up (little kids 11) and the new ones do not stay on. The velcro simply doesn’t stay and they constantly come undone and fall off, like every 5 minutes constantly. I had to trash them sadly because they are so cute.
