ReactX foam and a forefoot Air Zoom unit deliver responsive energy return without feeling overly squishy during heavy lifts or sled work.
A wide outsole gives you optimal stability and solid ground contact. Rubber at the heel helps limit how the midsole foam expands during heavy lifts.
Traction makes all the difference during grip-critical moves. The outsole pairs sticky rubber with high-abrasion rubber for durable, multi-surface traction.
Going from burpee broad jumps to sprints isn’t easy. An X-shaped overlay on the upper works with the laces to help secure your foot as you switch moves.

for squat training?

I want to try these for squat training. They look like they can absorb the pressure from heavy weights, especially when the force goes directly through the heels.
Finally, the Hybrid Trainer I’ve Been Waiting For
Ibrahim
I’ve been waiting for Nike to make a shoe like this for a long time. I love running, but I also train regularly, and I’ve always wanted one shoe that can genuinely bridge the gap between the two instead of forcing you to choose between a running shoe and a dedicated training shoe. The Hybrid RN looks like exactly what I’ve been hoping for: something versatile enough for running while still being stable and functional for strength training and everyday gym work. It’s a surprisingly difficult combination to get right, and I’m really excited to see Nike take it on. I haven’t had the opportunity to put it through its paces yet, so I’ll update my review once I’ve logged some miles and workouts in it. But as someone who has wanted this exact type of shoe for months, I’m extremely excited to finally see it become a reality.
