He has curly hair that gets in his eyes sometimes and this helps keep it away from his face and the sweat out of his eyes. I think he looks cute, too. One thing I overlooked is that these should be hand washed. I washed some in washing machine and kind of messed them up. They faded a lot, shrink and the material matted down a bit.
