Watch out for this new stride shorts

I used to own a pair of old version Nike Stride shorts, but this new version doesn't compare to their predecessor. I bought this new pair just two weeks ago, and they feel amazing and are made of great material. However, as soon as I put them in the washing machine, they tore apart. I have another pair, but I'm hesitant to wash them again for fear of the same thing happening.
