Nike Sportswear Phoenix Fleece

Wow, these pants are comfortable. I've been enjoying wearing these around the house, when I'm taking care of my kids and working from home. The fabric is very cozy, but also lightweight. The fabric is a little bit more upscale than sweatpants though, so I like that I can be comfortable day to day, but feel more elevated and put together than throwing on leggings or a pair of sweatpants. They're totally fine to wear out and about. I like that the pockets are very large (I can even carry around a small book with me). These are truly high-waisted, although ended up being a couple of inches too long on me (I'm 5'9). I typically wear a L or XL, but ordered an XL, since these are more lounging around pants for me. Probably if I exchange for a L, they would fit better and be the proper length.

These pants are a great structured lounge pant. The material is soft and durable and holds shape. They do provide some warmth, so they are great for cool days or frigid A/C. They wash well. I did find them to be fairly long on me (I am 5’4” with a 29-30” inseam). I also felt like the high waist was exaggerated on me, so in terms of style—maybe it was a miss for me, but if you are super tall, I think these will look polished. I’ll ati be reaching for them on cool days because they are supremely comfortable, and they are definitely much more elevated than your typical sweatpants.

I tried out the black pair of the Nike sportswear phoenix fleece high waist sweatpants in size XL and found both pros and cons to these pants. First, the pros: The material is very comfortable, soft and warm. Perfect for lounge wear or cold winter nights. I could definitely see myself wearing these while cuddling on the couch with a warm cup of cocoa in the winter. I also appreciated the drawstring waistband so I could tighten the pants easily. The list of cons is short and honestly depends on your body type of how you will likely feel about them. I am 5’4” with a short torso and typically wear a size 14 or XL in pants and I either wear a petite or regular length depending on the brand. The length of these pants is very long on me, and they drag on the floor a bit. The high waist style is also VERY high waist. I could pull them up past my rig cage if I wanted to. But if you are a taller woman or prefer over-sized clothing, these would likely be perfect for you! Because of the comfort aspect, I plan on keeping and wearing these sweatpants but likely only for loungewear around the house and not to go out in public. I prefer a more fitted and proportional style personally. I really love the material used for these pants but If I could change anything about them, I would ask Nike to offer more length options to suit more body types (petite, regular and long).
