Nike Shox R4

I was so excited to get these because I had a pair of Nike Shox in 2007 and loved them. These bring back all the nostalgia; the design stays true to the OG style, but the suede upper and chrome-look silver Shox give them a fresh, elevated feel. They do run narrow, which worked for me since I have narrow feet and still got a comfortable, supportive, close fit. I actually liked that since so many sneakers now feel loose. These offer great support and a firm but comfortable sole, perfect for errands, walking/light workout, or being on my feet all day. I love that I can pair them with pretty much anything and they’ll make a statement. They’re sporty but polished, and the gray/silver color goes with so many outfits. I’ve worn them with leggings, jeans, and even a casual dress—they’re super versatile and make any outfit pop. I usually wear a 7 in regular shoes and 7.5 in Nike, but I’m glad I sized up to an 8—they fit perfectly. Overall, stylish, supportive, and full of early-2000s energy—in the best way.

These shoes were all the rage when I was growing up, so it’s fun to see them making a comeback with a fresh, modern look. I love the suede and monochromatic look of these. I think it really elevates a casual outfit for running around town. The gray goes with just about anything, making these easy to throw on. They’re comfortable, but offer a little too much structure for my personal liking, which is the only reason I took a star off. I do have a wide foot, and think these would be a little more comfortable for a regular width foot. If you like structure, good arch support, and a trendy vibe in a casual sneaker, these are for you!

The Nike Shox R4 has a fun futuristic style. The velour like material combined with the funky spring sole combine to make an eye catching shoe. The unique look allows you to dress this shoe up or down. It looks great with athleisure to run errands but would elevate a casual jeans and shirts outfit. The light gray color is a fresh take on a neutral and more fun than my go-to all white sneaker. As a shorter person I also love that the chunky heel gives me a little more height too.
