NikeSKIMS Matte

Super stylish but not suitable for training. I was so excited for this collaboration as a devoted consumer of both Skims and Nike. I am happy with the look of this legging with the matching tank, it’s super flattering and I wore it today for my training session and I was tugging at the leggings the entire time. The material is thick and feels nice but it slips. It’s definitely more of a fashion statement than functional training wear. I will wear as it is cute but unfortunately I can’t wear these for training in the gym.

These are definitely not high waisted. I have purchased high waisted Nike leggings before and my old ones are definitely above my belly button. These fall short and sits at the belly button. I’m 5’3’’ and got the length of 26 inches. They do sit above the ankle but I wonder if I got the size 29 length would that make up for a higher rise? What I actually wanted. The compression is there but I can already tell that I will have to keep pulling my leggings up to keep it in place. Just walking around I am already doing that. I can only imagine how it would be when I workout. The material, I’m not a fan of either. I can compare this to the material of Nike Universa that I just recently purchased. It’s matte but it has a slight sheen to it. Not a fan of shinny leggings. Reminds me of scuba wear. I think I will give the other length a try to see how that fits. Otherwise I will be returning it. I need Nike to bring back the old school Nike one Lux leggings back…those were perfect!
