Shoulder strap not changeable

Nice size bag but wanted to change shoulder strap to wider with a shoulder pad but it’s permanently attached. Why?

I purchased this bag to carry my workout clothes to the gym. From the photos, the bag appeared sturdy and durable, and I expected it to be made of thick material. However, upon receiving it, I found the fabric to be thin and not as strong as I anticipated. It seems unlikely that this bag would withstand long-term use. Additionally, the handle is quite uncomfortable. Most bags have padded or ergonomically designed handles that make them easy to carry, but this one has a plain, unstructured handle, which makes it inconvenient to hold
