The plate is stiff in the heel and midfoot for stability. It's also responsive in the forefoot to help propel you forward.
The sole's wide stud placement gives you traction for lateral moves. The X-frame on the bottom flexes naturally with your foot to provide stability during hard braking and quick cuts.

Good looking cleats except the laces are almost a peach color, I put white laces on them and they look much better!
