- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only recently got into going to the gym frequently and found that the tote bag I was using was just way too small. This one is the perfect size and style. It holds a pair of shoes, toiletries, a full outfit, 40 ounce water bottle, it still has room to spare without being too gigantic. It fits a small locker just fine. I love the look of this bag. It was a little worried about the straps, digging into my shoulders based on other reviews, however, this has not been a problem at all. I have not carried anything too heavy though. I can imagine a heavy laptop or something would be uncomfortable.
