Nike Sportswear Club

This shirt has a lot going for it: Relaxed and fresh looking boxy 3/4 length fit, quality construction with the raglan pattern, good color across the off white natural body and faded black sleeves, and *it’s all cotton*! Absolutely awesome to see Nike leaning into natural fabrics and I hope we see that spread across more of their sportswear. But points off for going with such a thin weight, which feels like it’ll tatter in no time. An old school style shirt like this deserved a heavy, hard wearing weave. I’ve also got to dock points for the conspicuous but rather boring branding. This shirt would look so much better without the generic looking left chest logo. Especially given the style of the shirt, something centered and stylized with baseball vibes would’ve worked much better and earned this a spot in my regular rotation.

This shirt is super comfortable given its soft fabric. This makes it perfect for wearing for your casual out and about trips or anything with a little more activity. The simple black and white colors make it easy to style the shirt with any outfit, and I found it suitable for any casual occasion. The shirt fit very well length wise, but my only complaint is that the sleeves are very large. The length on the sleeves was good, but there was a lot of empty space/puffiness in the sleeves. If you like a looser fit, then your regular size will be perfect, but otherwise, you might want to go down a size. Overall, this shirt’s comfort and colors make it an easy go to!

The fit of this shirt is spot on for Nike sizing, which is a plus. The fabric has been great for spring. It feels like it may not be quite as breathable for warmer summer weather as some other Nike fabrics, however we will cross that bridge when we get there. The raglan style is great and I feel is something that really never goes out of fashion. If you’re someone with a wider chest and shorter arms as seen in these pics, you may find the sleeves just the slightest bit too long to feel like it fits as it should…but nothing that a little roll can’t fix. Overall I really do like this shirt and I’m looking forward to styling it in different outfits. I think other colorways would be great too.
