Nike Maxfly 2

19% off

Air Zoom unit and carbon Flyplate provide spring to each step.

Fit for the world's fastest, the Maxfly 2 is back in the starting blocks. Designed for the 100 meters to 400 meters (hurdle events too), it combines an ultra-aggressive feel with the responsiveness of an Air Zoom unit to help propel the speediest sprinters on the planet. This special design is inspired by The Armory in New York, where track-and-field athletes of all abilities are welcome to step into the blocks.

Behind the Design

The Armory's oval surface color appears along upper. Green is from The Armory’s infield. Blue nods to warm-up area. Hits of red stem from The Armory’s logo. Crisscrossed print speaks to its iconic ceiling.

Flyweave Construction

Nike Flyweave construction on the upper provides a secure and conforming fit for various foot shapes.

Carbon Flyplate

The carbon Flyplate's shape and stiffness help keep you on your toes and minimize deceleration.

Zoom, Zoom

The forefoot Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you a propulsive feel and stability from takeoff to the tape.

What's New About the Maxfly 2?

Lighter, more responsive than the Maxfly, the Flyplate's shape and stiffness give you a propulsive feel. Middle spike removed from Maxfly and elevated platform on big-toe side help spikes feel more stable.

I love the Maxfly 2! Just amazing everything of a spike! Very aggressive, fits well in my foot, comfortable, great energy return, and secure lock on every parts of your feet. Forefoot, midsole, and heel locked. 10/10 Just be careful not to pop your air bubbles with this spike.

  • Amazing Top Speed Spike

The Maxfly 2 is the perfect spike for gliding at higher speeds. They are as light and comfortable as sprint spikes come, with large improvements from the original Maxfly when it comes to stability on the curve of the 200m/400m. Until earlier this year I would say these are the best sprint spikes for the 100m/200m/400m, however with the recent release of the Adidas Adizero SP4 nike has lost the crown for the best short sprint spikes. If you are looking for the best spike for acceleration and you specialize in the 60m-100m I would go with the SP4. Otherwise if you are a sprinter who either is a 200m-400m runner or someone who just wants a more versatile spike I still think the Maxfly 2 is the best spike for you.

Fit for the world's fastest sprinters.
