Nike Flex Stride

These shorts are extremely comfortable for activity, as well as general use. The material was very cool and lightweight, which I really appreciate in my hot climate! The length was perfect - they hit me at about mid-thigh. I’m pretty tall, so I appreciate that they have a little extra length on them. The elastic band was stretchy and held up well without binding or rolling over. These shorts also didn’t have a tendency to ride up and wedge as some workout shorts do. My only complaint was the boxy shape wasn’t very flattering. While I don’t care at all about this while working out, it would be nice to be able to wear them for occasions when I’m hiking or biking with a group without feeling uncomfortable. The shape was quite boxy and the elastic band caused the material to puff out a bit in a rather unflattering way. I will include several pictures with my review.

Overall excellent shorts. Two key flaws: there is a giant floppy tag inside the short liner that needs to be carefully cut out with precision scissors to avoid also cutting the lining. Why are these premium shorts not tag-less in year 2021? For zippered pockets, there is only one located in the top rear, center to spine. This is where the shorts absorb the most perspiration while running, so the contents will be soaked. Previous versions had a small side zippered pocket, which should have also been included in this design. Two of the six pairs I ordered had some manufacturing defects in the stitching, but Nike was able to take care of this.

These shorts are made with a great breathable material. It's super lightweight and soft. There are actual pockets, which you don't always find in running shorts. The elastic waistband is only about an inch wide and it has a built in drawstring to cinch the shorts tighter. There is a key pocket and mesh underwear lining also. These shorts are good quality running shorts.
