I bought the pants in black XS I'm 5'3. Usually wear a S but I saw the long reviews so figured to size down. Originally got these for work was looking for cargos or pants that I could wear my leggings under. They fit great in the waist I also love the belt adjustment. They are long as well.. might get them hemmed but bummed it would be removing the shock cords at the bottom.

Great product that’s too long!

I’m 5’7 and roughly 158 pounds, with an athletic build (think thick thighs.) I’ve owned multiple pairs of the smith summits for years (purchased both the men’s and women’s category.) I typically fit in a medium women’s and a small men’s and went for a medium in this size. As someone else mentioned, it is true to size, but the length is long. Even after I wear them with my ACG boots (giving me an additional 1.5 inches in height, they sweep the floor by another half an inch.) The drawstring cinch helps a little, but feels like it may break after 10 wears or so, which is concerning. Waist button is also different from the classic metallic version. This one is plastic. Yes it does feel a little cheap. Compared to the regular cargo smith summit with the detachable leg sleeves, the cargo pockets are less comprehensive with just one on each sleeve. Still great quality though. Downside is that you can’t alter the pants if you’re short due to the drawstring cinch factor. Would recommend for people above 5”7, or if you’re 5”7 and have boot heels which are over 2 inches.
comically long

if your inseam is 33" or more this pant will fit you. can't even get the pants shortened because a nice feature and presumably why the pants are so expensive to begin with (the cuffs at the bottom with the cord looping) would be gone without it. really should be advertised as long because these would've been a nice and functional pair of hiking pants.
