‘BEST IN CLASS’

Draft night is rife with intrigue, rumors, and
surprises. But there was no drama at the top of
the 2003 NBA Draft — it was a foregone
conclusion that the Cleveland Cavaliers would
use the number one pick on the local teenager
who had become the most anticipated
prospect in modern basketball history. The deal
was sealed when commissioner David Stern
made the announcement from the podium in
New York City, calling LeBron to the stage in an
iconic all-white suit. The first five picks of the
stacked 2003 NBA Draft unearthed four future
Hall of Famers, but only one king.

Building on that legendary draft night, the
LeBron XXIII ‘Best In Class’ takes the red hat
LeBron wore with the famous white suit and
applies with a triple-red hue throughout. A
repeating pattern that mixes the NYC skyline
and LeBron’s crown logo floods the upper
while a gold accented swoosh adds a vibrant
touch. Lastly, a Big Apple logo on the heel
features a Forever King bite mark — a small
nod to LeBron pulling up his seat at the
table.
