  • Nike has changed the sole composition

Nike has changed something with the composition of the sole! Ask any serious thrower, and they will tell you Nike rotationals were the gold standard in throwing shoes. I thought maybe the other bad reviews didn't understand what normal wear looks like. Turns out I shouldn't have thought I knew better! I threw all through school and into college. After 2 practices the soles were shredded with large long streaks of material ripped off the bottom of the soles. I am so disgusted with the quality of the newest batch (Fall 2025), that I bought other brands for the first time since 2002, so my son can find a new favorite throwing shoe. We are moving on from Nike rotationals and don't plan on looking back.

I have been buying nike zoom rotational 6 for the past 8 years and I have to say these were by far the worst pair. Me and my teammates all had the same problem, that was the sole of the shoe started peeling after the first practice, which is a problem that we didn’t have with the previous years. Furthermore, we decided to give the newer model a chance to see if it just happended to be a bad model, but unfortunately it seems to be the same with all new pairs

  • Do not buy

These shoes are terrible the sole just deteriorates- another pair the sole gave out and so did the side of the shoe- with just a few uses?! we exchanged several times and same thing after one throws practice. I do not recommend purchasing. We have had several other Nike throwing shoes over the years with little issue but these are terrible.

Enhanced stability for shot put, discus, and hammer throws.
