The material of this Nike Lace Street 2" Short is truly undefeated in my eyes. Although when I first laid my eyes on it I wasn’t convinced. It seemed really shiny and stiff at first glance, but it was a lot softer when I touched it. It also moved a lot more and proved to be rather comfortable once I put it on. I was also really impressed with the black striped detailing on the sides of the shorts. Black and navy go so well together, and it shows in these shorts. Even the placement of the Nike logo down by the trim of the pants in black was a nice touch, very subtle, but still noticeable. I also love the small slit on the side of each leg, making for a much more comfortable wear. Unfortunately, they do run a little big and I wish I would have sized down. Typically I can wear a medium, but these ran much bigger than I thought. Fortunately, the shorts do bring belt loops. Having belt loops is always a nice feature, and was truly a major plus when I saw these shorts have them. So I was able to cinch them in at the waist and wear them as a looser fitting short. But by far my most favorite feature will have to be the material. I found out the hard way how moisture resistant these shorts are when I spilled a whole 16 ounce water bottle on them. To my surprise, the water slid right off, leaving little to no trace of water having ever been there. Any residue dried off quickly, and I was able to get to my destination nice and dry. Even while playing outside and sweating in them, it would dry immediately. I never felt wet or sticky in these shorts. Truly this detail is unmatched for me, especially as someone who is clumsy and sweats a lot. Not to mention, they’re actually so cute on and stylish. I can’t wait to keep wearing them. I don’t typically wear navy, but these might’ve convinced me to wear it more. They are really comfortable, breathable and very fun to wear. It’s cool how they make me look so chic and sporty at the same time. I’m not sure what else you could ask for.

I liked the look of these shorts online, but after trying them on, the style and fit just weren’t for me. The quality is great, however the fabric is much thicker than I expected. It reminds me more of a mid-weight jacket material. They also have a balloon fit that I didn’t find flattering. I got an XS, which is my typical size for Nike. The waistband does have elastic in the back, but it still fit a little looser than I’d like. If you’re looking for a very structured pair of shorts you might like these, but I’d recommend sizing down if you’re between sizes.

These are an awesome pair of shorts. The material is really lightweight and I like that they’re loose around the thighs. The pockets are nice and big and the waistband is comfortable and stretchy in the back. One thing I will note is that although the fit of the waist is perfect, there seems to be a lot of extra fabric around the hip and thigh area. I don’t mind it around the butt, however it does look pretty poofy in the front. As a mom of two toddlers who is bending over all the time, it does feel revealing. Overall, a really solid pair of shorts but the fit might prevent me from wearing them in certain situations.
