Why is the Drawstring so long?

4/5 stars. They’re extremely comfortable and fit well. The only reason they aren’t a 5/5 is because the drawstring is extremely long. If I were to tighten them completely the draw string comes out 2+ feet on both sides. That’s my only complaint about them. Unsure if my pair was defective or not.
