CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR ORIGINS

Created in 1917, the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star has been evolving for a hundred years while managing to keep it classic: a canvas upper, all-star emblem, and vulcanized rubber sole are known all over the world. The silhouette stays true in both high-top and oxford styles: both looks can handle whatever.

  • MY GO-TO SHOES

    Nike User - Nov 18, 2025

These are the shoes I put on most frequently. My old pair finally wore out. There was a tear on the right side by my toes. I still wore them until the new ones were delivered. The old ones are great for gardening and just hanging around. They may be worn and torn, but they're very comfortable. The new ones are for going out, like to the grocery store, the local pizza parlor, the neighborhood dive bar, a fancy Pittsburgh restaurant, a dressy red neck wedding, a funeral in a small West Virginia town, etc. The places where they are appropriate to wear are endless!

  • No support but still cool

    Wizz - Nov 15, 2025

I have had many pairs in my life but somehow none recently. I like the new heel cup, much easier to slide on. But these are still very flat sneakers with no arch support, so hopefully just one option and not what you regularly wear.

Okay I am 65 years old. Born into Pro Keds and then Converse for life. Awesome sneakers for comfort and just kicking around.
