Finally able to get some non-animal based AF1s thanks to this ‘Next Nature’ more sustainable drive from Nike. To be honest I don’t know why they don’t make more of their trainers with fruit/veg/mushroom leathers which have a fraction of the environmental footprint and none of the animal (win/win planet/animals). As a vegan it’s hard to find nice lifestyle trainers that are animal free so this felt like a rare win. Still awaiting a non-animal AJ… Come on Nike - if you really care about sustainability, let’s make it happen with some ‘shroom leather.
