ACG Lava Loft

The first thing I noticed about the jacket is the thumb hostler. It was helpful to have it while I was working with my hands outside and wanted to keep warm. The pockets are very functional with plenty of room for your phone, a beanie, or small water bottle. Against the cold winds the jacket kept me comfortable. The only feature I wish the jacket had that it doesn’t already offer is a hood. The design is functional, not too flashy, and durable. One of the reasons I look for jackets, coats, or hats in the men’s section is because the material and design for men’s apparel tends to withstand longer than female apparel. I would recommend this jacket for men or women as it is made with high quality material, built for performance in cold weather, fits well for someone with a longer torso.

This is one of the most unique jackets I have worn. It looks like a cross between a biker jacket and a running jacket. It’s pretty manly looking. The build quality is very high. I love that you can fit it all inside the inside pocket for traveling purposes. While it is warm because of the down, it also has airflow because of the holes in it. So it’s an interesting feel to have that warmth but with airflow. The sleeves do have hooks that you can put around your thumb but I found that it was fine to run with without using them. It also looks good for casual wear. My only holdup and reason for rating it a 4 instead of a 5 is because it has a dual zipper. While this enables you to open it up from the bottom too, I found that getting it zipped and unzipped normally was a little finicky sometimes. I also wouldn’t use the unzip portion from the bottom but if you would it might be a plus. Overall it has an excellent build and looks great.

I am impressed with how ergonomic the jacket is. It's comfortable and moves really well with me. It's not too fitted that I can still wear light layers underneath for added warmth.The look is elevated athletic wear and it has great ventilation all around. Though I have yet to try it in cold weather (as we've had surpriaingly warm days here in the Midwest) the material doesn't seem like it would be the best choice in rainy or snowy weather that it would be water resistant. All in all great choice for those that are really active and need something that will move with them without being constrained.
