LeBron's trail of destruction peaked on March 3, 2014 when he dropped a career-high 61 points against the visiting Charlotte Bobcats while shooting 66.7% from the floor. The NBA soon put the kibosh on non-transparent facial protectors, but everyone knows the real identity of that masked man.

The LeBron XXIII ‘Masked Menace’ takes a more serious tone with a triple black colorway taking over the entirety of the shoe. The upper pattern features a carbon fiber application, while the midfoot crown uses a glossy sheen. The swoosh is as close to ink black as it gets, while a masked decal peers out on the heel, paying homage to the actual mask LeBron wore. This colorway is just like the King — all business.
