How This Was Made

  • As of 2020, 100% of the cotton we use across our entire product line is certified organic, recycled, or Better Cotton sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). BCI works to improve cotton farming globally, sourcing cotton through a system of Mass Balance. All of our organic cotton is grown without fossil fuel-derived pesticides or synthetic fertilizers and we also recycle more than 1.5 million pounds of cotton each year.
  • BCI trains farmers to use water efficiently, care for soil health and natural habitats, reduce use of the most harmful chemicals and respect workers’ rights and wellbeing. Organic cotton delivers the same long-lasting comfort and breathability as conventional cotton, and is grown without the use of fossil fuel-derived pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Since organic cotton is developed using farming techniques that help replenish soil fertility, it also has a lower carbon impact than conventional cotton.

It's a nice jacket. The material seems good quality and feels comfortable, not enough where i'm confident that it will last if i fall of in it on my skateboard and scrape it along the concrete floor a few times, but it defiantly feels quality enough to live up to the brands standards. One down side to this material is that it creases easily and i feel as if I shouldn't have to take as much effort as it does to keep this jacket crease free. For me, with my busy lifestyle with building skateparks around the UK for a job, i just chuck jackets into the boot of my car and get them out when needed, expecting them not to be creased up due to the material used. 9 times out of 10, a none creased jacket is the result i get, although with this one it wasn't the case and i feel as if i wouldn't put the effort in to keep this jacket nice, i would just pick another one that i can throw into the back of my car without worrying that it will be creased. Although maybe i just need to give the jacket time, let the canvas loosen up, give it a few more washes, and maybe the canvas won't crease up so much. With this being said, i feel as if the material needs to be more breathable as well, maybe with a few eyelets under each armpit, as i feel this is where my body was getting the warmest. I understand that the selling point of this jacket is that it's a "canvas jacket" but maybe a couple different breathable materials won't go a miss, even though it's not necessarily a sports jacket, i still got very hot and sweaty wearing it just doing day to day activities such as driving and walking. You could potentially incorporate this idea into a sport version of this jacket, specifically a skateboarding jacket, due to it's casual, classic look, it wouldn't look too out of place within a skateboarders "uniform". A good place to potentially put this breathable material may be down the sides of the jacket, using straight lines, keeping the classic look and feel of the jacket, or potentially replacing the different material used for the two stripes towards the top of the jacket as i feel both these area and hot spots too. These two stripes already on the jacket do work really well as well, helping to break up the empty space towards the top of the jacket, helping the zip blend into the design nicely. Although, on the flip side, this hotness is good, as it would keep me warm during winter days, although i would more then likely put a thinker, puffer like jacket on over this, instead of layering with this jacket. Although if i knew the day was bound to get warmer, but still be a little cold, this jacket would be ideal for layering, putting hoodies underneath it, without having to worry about the hoodie hood getting intertwined with the none existing hood of this jacket as well as the quarter zip opening up as well, so i wouldn't have to worry about all the layering getting too tight around my neck! Also, the length of the jacket doesn't seem to coincide with the bagginess of the jacket. The arm length and bagginess is great but for how baggy/wide the body is, i feel as if the jacket needs to be a little longer and also loosen the elasticated strap at the bottom, or make this bottom strap a little looser. This way the bagginess of the jacket won't look so out of place. Hopefully this is portrayed in the photos. I also found that the material around the elastic strap at the bottom kept folding up! The embroidery for the logo is a nice touch. It adds a more timeless, classic feel to the jacket, compared to if a simple badge was sewed onto it or a logo screen printed. The slight change in colour for the embroidery works a treat also, making it subtly stand out when looking at the jacket, giving it a mature feel. The one solid colour scheme works well too, making it easy to match with other one/two coloured items of clothes of a similar colour palette. The quarter zip style of the jacket is nice too, i think this is what i like the most about the jacket. It makes the jacket more versatile with a sporty look with the zip all the way up with the sides up too. A smarter look with the zip about half way down and the sides folded down too or a "i need to cool down" look with the whole thing unzipped and the sides folded down too. In conclusion, it is a great versatile causal jacket and a easy, simple jacket to match with other items of clothing. Although i wouldn't wear this jacket during any sporting activities nor during the summer, mainly threw the colder winter months layering under it!

  • Disappointed

    Festival oversized look - Sep 11, 2023

Really disappointed with the fit and look of the canvas jacket, I take large in most Nike jackets/t-shirts/jumpers however this jacket was heavy, too wide on my chest arms and core. The length of the canvas jacket was boxy however being 6 ft 3 it looked short on my body! Loved the colour and the very minimalistic detail but overall super disappointing.

  • Canvas Jacket

    SAII1224 - Sep 05, 2023

The jacket fits perfectly with a baggy aesthetic, as it sits loose on the arms and torso however, the length was perfect. It felt lightweight and breathable whilst maintaining a quality material, the canvas was unusual at first but it easy to get use to. The jacket has many uses as i wore it in streetwear outfits and to play golf therefore making it versatile and durable.
