Hoof it from the trailhead to the top, and handle winding paths, rolling hills, tricky switchbacks and everything in between in the Nike Wildhorse 8. With an abundance of rugged traction, cushioned responsiveness and trusted containment to help keep you upright, it’s made for tough trail runs, the ones with limitless miles and gnarly terrain that are too enticing to turn down.

I am 47 and these are among my all time favorite shoes. I occasionally use them for trail running and they are great for that. But more importantly they are a perfect active lifestyle shoe. Hiking, camping, going to the beach, walking, traveling and on and on. When I need to take a single pair of shoes, these are usually it. As long as Nike doesn’t make huge changes to this shoe, I will always have a pair.

Premise: i am 6.2” and 190lbs and run often on gnarly trails. Enjoyed the cushion, responsiveness, and precision of Wildhorse 8 — even on technical terrains. I used these on some memorable hikes/runs in Yosemite and to do the R2R2R in Grand Canyon. They have been reliable companions during these past weeks. However — as with most recent Nike trail shoes 1) soles are not grippy on rocks; 2) durability is limited. At 350km the top part of the shoe ripped significantly

Been after a pair of trainers with wide toe box and these have come up trumps!
