Nike Shox R4

Love them , and the delivery service is awesome

I really wanted to like these...have loved the Shox line for over a decade, ever since the NZ was trending. It was exciting to see the silhouette make a comeback with the Enigma and R4, now in modern styling and colourways. Unfortunately, while the design is clean and striking, I found the fit disappointing. Despite sizing up (to 9.5W, I normally wear 9W in Nike), my toes were pinched. Yet it was simultaneously hard to get a snug fit on the back end - heels kept popping out. Default laces are too short to even tie normally, nevermind use lace lock configuration. I replaced them with much longer ones to use lace lock, and...still wasn't able to get a secure fit, despite constant adjustment. Only wore through one workday, and by the end of the shift, I was really hurting. Couldn't wait to take them off. Doubt sizing up even more to a 10W would have fixed the problems. These probably fit fine for people with smaller/narrow feet, but just aren't for me. I was still sad to return them anyway...would have been great if they'd worked out. Gonna have to go back to wearing my vintage Shox Current. Can't recommend, sorry.
