  • Lace loops rip easy

    JACKTL5i - Feb 13, 2024

I purchased these boots a long time ago, and only wore them for 1 year. Great boot! BUT like all the other comments mention, the laces literally cut right through the loop. Extremely poor design. Shame because I HAD to chuck them and they had a lot of life left in them. RIP to this boot style I won’t buy it again.

  • Best. Boots. Ever. (for me!)

I own 3 pairs. 2 pairs of SFB 2, and a pair of the SFB 3. These are probably the best shoes I've ever owned in terms of style comfort, and durability. I'm going to keep buying these for decades to come, if available. I get complimented constantly. You can wear them with athletic gear, or dress up a bit with business casual attire and they look great. I bought my first pair in China in 2018 and would walk ~5 miles a day on the city streets every single day during the winter... 6 years later and they are (clearly worn in, but) still in phenomenal shape. In terms of dollars per hour on my foot, they are the cheapest shoes I've ever purchased. Btw, I wear an 11.5 in men's and I have a more narrow than average foot. I thicker wool socks to compensate... I can do 12-13 hours on these boots on a hard surface day after day and I feel "very decent" at the end of it. They are super comfy, durable, and ultra lightweight as far as boots go. I can jog or dead run in them. My hip flexors never ache (a common issue if I wear heavier boots). I really really wish they would bring back the Green version. They are so cool!

  • Eyelets will break

    GarrisonB35805483 - Jun 12, 2023

The boots are pretty light and decently comfortable. However, the eyelets at the top are made of leather and are super weak because of this. As others have stated, the leather will eventually wear out from the rubbing of the shoe strings and will break. My pair lasted just over two years before this happened which is coincidentally just outside of the warranty period. In my opinion, shoes marketed as "tactical boots" should last much longer than two years, especially for my use case where I am doing nothing tactical. You should probably go with a different brand.
