What I like most about these 40s is that, for me, very little "break in time" was needed. They wore evenly though a bit of rubbing on my big toe for the first few games. Most disappointing were the eyelets of the shoe. Some have loops, and a few of these loops broke when allowing for different lacing patterns, which forced the string to break as well. Lighter colors of the suede do show wear sooner than expected.
