I’ve stayed loyal to the Zoom Fly series and ran in the Zoom Fly 3’s, 4’s, 5’s & now 6’s over the years.
The 6 combines the best features of all of the previous ones.
The foam soul and carbon plate offer the perfect mix of cushion & responsiveness.
There’s rubber pads on the bottom soul which seems more durable than foam, which can break down over time.
The thin, sock-like material returned, which lacked in the 5’s - this is breathable and limits rubbing/blisters.
The Zoom Fly 6 also went back to the smaller heal print which offers more agility, but slightly less support.
Overall, this is my favorite pair of ZF’s. I thought Nike missed their mark on the 5’s but they redeemed themselves with the Zoom Fly 6. Have only ran ~20 miles in them but they feel great.
