Can't play ball in these

The shoes look great. My son was so happy to get them but the laces are sowed into the shoe so there no way to tighten them which makes them really hard to play basketball in. My son wore them to practice for the first time and his shoe fell off multiple time and one time almost caused him to roll his ankle. We won't be using these shoes for the basketball season as planned but he will still wear them to school.
