Nike Pegasus Trail 5

Great shoe. Great shopping experience. Great brand.

I’ve never given a review before but recently I completed the Camino Frances. A 500 mile walk across Spain in different types of terrain ( road , rock, big rock, mud, heavy mud). I put these shoes to the test. They beat my expectations. Many people bought new shoes along the way but I didn’t need to. I did however need new laces about 400 miles in. The soles were starting to have less spring in them which is expected. Started to tear in same spot both shoes. I bought an 11 size shoe (a half size up). Toe box felt great to me. I wore toe sock liners and merino wool socks. No blisters. So Nike you win this one. I would buy again.

Wanna go hi but for now I’m above the halfway mark on star praise due to this shoe not fitting properly going off of Nike fit suggestion on first purchase. Last few yrs I’ve been a continuous buyer (5 pairs) of the Nike Free Run 2018 in a size 10 all black (nearly perfect shoe btw). Going after something with a more modern design this year (05/25) I decided on their Pegasus Trail Run because of the intriguing low profile look 😎 and the color way (black/monarch/ivory) instantly caught my eye. Shame is that Nike and their customer reviews suggest sizing up which I figured would be a size 10.5 at least but when walking in store and measuring this shoe at my current 10 size I couldn’t help but notice how big and clunky it looked and felt. I thought I’ll try a half size down, 9.5, from Nike site and should be perfect. They got here and not only fit too big but looked pretty oversized on foot. More room than I expected too so I sent back in exchange for a sz 9 same model. Arrived today and they look and feel much better so far no issues but that’s why I stay at 3 stars for now til I can get some work into these. Just beware and try them on in store first 🙏🏼
