Nike Pegasus 39

Very comfortable shoes; these are my go-to shoes now.

I have been obsessed with the full Pegasus line for years. They are specialized, lightweight, springy, comfortable for HOURS, good for the gym, long distance running, walking and just leisure. I have many colors, many versions and wear them pretty exclusively. Nike has made slight adjustments to this shoe over the years, which mostly have been beneficial. I miss the low profile tongue though. I wish they would bring it back to this shoe. Other than that - this is the BEST all around shoe on the market. I have run hundreds of miles in mine. No break in time. They do run a wee bit small though. I generally size up a half size. I have a high arch and instep. If you have flat feet, you might find them a bit awkward at first. I also have a normal to slightly narrow feet. So as the previous reviewer mentioned, these may not be right for you if you have a wide foot. If so, I'd look at the Infinity React line. They are more forgiving in the width but have the same spring and comfort.

Not a fan of the recent versions. Found the 38 to be more comfortable. The forefoot feel flat and not responsive, the shoe is narrower than average, does not feel supportive underneath. It's also the first pegasus version that had a hole develop on the front part of the shoe where toe meets the rest of the foot. Does not think the material makes it any more breathable compared to the 38. I also find there is heel slippage, and prefer a thicker and longer tongue.
