Since getting the Nike JR Phantom GX Club TF my nephew has barely taken them off. Being a keen footballer they are perfect for daily wear - whether he is kicking a ball around in the garden, playing with his mates, taking part in school PE or football training, the Nike JR Phantom GX Club TF is a great all round shoe.
The trainers fit him really well and they are comfortable and light, but also very well made and the synthetic upper is robust enough to protect your feet when kicking a ball. Considering the volume of use they have had in such a short period, the shoes are showing little to no sign of wear which is a good sign that they will last.
Performance-wise, the grip on the Nike JR Phantom GX Club TF is fantastic as the astroturf sole has a deep tread. The off-centre laces enable more control of the ball, making the upper of the shoe smoother on the inside foot for more precise passing.
The black colourway is a classy but minimalist style that looks very smart and retro. The best thing about them is that they are so easy to wipe clean, keeping them looking fresh! There are various swoosh logos across the shoes, some white and some black, which are a nice touch whilst still keeping the minimalist feel. There is also a black glossy pattern around the front of the upper that gives some extra contrast. He loves the orange colour of the insole and the swoosh on the bottom of the sole and the only criticism he made on the styling is that he wished that the visible swooshes on the upper were the same orange colour.
Overall he loves the Nike JR Phantom GX Club TF and would buy again in another colour, perhaps also taking a step up to the laceless version.
