Stylish Off-Court Pants with Subtle and Truly Unique Design Elements

The Jordan 23 Engineered Woven Pants are a sharp, great-fitting pair of pants for lounging around the house or for throwing on when you’re going to be out and about and want to show off your sneakers. As someone who often wears all black from top to bottom, the ripstop fabric gives these pants a great visual texture that helps to reduce the excessive continuity that monochromatic outfits can sometimes take on. It also provides them with some extra durability over a more standard windbreaker style fabric. The cut of these woven pants is tapered, providing a comfortable, but not-too-roomy fit in the hips and thighs, while reducing to an ankle width that is perfect, at least for me. It’s small enough to keep the pants above my sneakers to let them shine, without the need for the cinched up jogger aesthetic of an elastic band at the bottom cuff, giving them a much cleaner look, and keeping them from getting stuck half-way up the calf after sitting down for a while. I also loved the unique look of the built-in tightening belt being shifted off to the side, which gives these pants a sort of bespoke, custom vibe. I’m someone who lacks a lot of shape in the hip area, and relies on belts like these being functional, too. This one doesn’t just look good, but works great, as well, and is much preferred to the annoyance of trying to get a standard drawstring tight enough. The only thing I found lacking with these pants was the stretch. Ripstop fabrics like these are great for surface durability, which I really appreciate as a skateboarder, but they certainly don’t have much give to them. If I wanted to skate in these or play basketball, they’d hold up nicely if the came in contact with the ground, but their durability on the surface isn’t as helpful if they’re just going to rip at the seams in the groin area the first time I try to jump off one foot or take a long stride. That’s why I say that these are a wonderful option for lounging comfortably around the house, or as a great staple in my less active wardrobe. They fit great, and look just how I want them to on my body, which can be tough at 6’4” with long legs!
