Nike Ava X

These are my new go-to gym shoes. They’re impossibly lightweight, but plenty supportive for my workouts. The two lacing options let me dial in the fit how I like them. The arch is a bit low for my liking, but I expect it will support me better as I break in the soles. Their uppers are cool and airy, moving with you nicely. I’m a fan, and still can’t get over how light they are; like there’s nothing there at all.

The Nike Ava X is amazingly lightweight and breathable. The upper portion of the shoe is very thin, yet very supportive. I was impressed by how sturdy the shoe felt despite its lightweight see through fabric. I do not think I've ever worn shoes that are this light, breathable, and flexible. I was skeptical at first due to the airy minimalist design, but I was left impressed after wearing them on a trip to North Carolina where I got to test them out on long hikes, long days in town, and lounging around a campfire. They are my new go to shoe for vacations because they are very packable. When packed in a suitcase, the upper portion of the shoe completely folds down so they do not take up much room in your luggage. Also, the sole of the shoe provides a lot of support and just enough cushion for all day use or long hikes. Even better, they dry extremely fast due to the breathable fabric. They worked great on rainy days or if we had to cross a stream on a hike. The shoes dried extremely fast while everyone else had soggy shoes for hours. Lastly, they have held up really well after continued use in all kinds of conditions. One thing of note however, is that I would recommend considering a half or full size up. The fit felt a little snug and narrow. Not enough to make them uncomfortable, but a little extra room would be nice. Overall, I am very impressed by the performance of such a lightweight, flexible, and breathable shoe.

They are very comfortable for someone with thin feet but would be too tight for wide feet. Very grippy on the bottom. I like how the tongue and heel feel like they are providing some ankle support despite being thin material which makes them very lightweight and comfortable. I haven't ran in them but they seem like they would handle some light running/jogging very well.
